On August 27, 2009, Elcoteq combined its two business areas, Personal Communications and Home Communications, to one Strategic Business Unit (SBU): Consumer Electronics. The third business area Communications Networks changed its name to System Solutions.
Elcoteq reports two Strategic Business Units as its segments:
Consumer Electronics
System Solutions
Consumer Electronics represents approximately 75% of the company’s net sales and System Solutions represents approximately 25%. Both SBUs are responsible for managing and developing their existing customer relationships and applicable service offerings.
